[MIK2018] Irisys Exhibits Iris-Face Recognition that can even Distinguish Identical Twins

Irisys introduced a digital door lock with iris-face recognition functions in the 'MIK 2018 Conference&Networking Party' held last August 23 (Thu) in The-K Hotel, Yangjae.
The Irisys door lock introduced in this event is a product that can analyze and encipher the face using a differentiated infrared ray (IR) camera. Hence, it brags an extraordinarily high level of accuracy compared to face recognition technologies used in products like smartphones, and it can also recognize the face and register enciphered information in a very short time - within 0.5 seconds. Additionally, it is its distinct characteristic that an information once enciphered cannot be restored.
In particular, it can thoroughly maintain security as it cannot recognize pictures or videos, and there are other options along with registering the palm, such as card, password, and emergency key. This can enable a more convenient and secured locking and unlocking function through face recognition in ordinary homes and offices.
Lastly, it is free from the existing leakage of personal information via the hacking of password, and can save the faces of up to 100 people. For the case of fingerprint recognition door locks, there are cases where the recognition rates decrease when the fingers are moist, and fingerprints can also be easily duplicated using silicon.
Meanwhile, this event was hosted by global news network 'Aving News', a media partner of 100 exhibitions ever year and of MWC and IFA, one of the world's top 3 IT/Tech/home appliances fair, and was jointly organized by Vietnam's state-owned media Vietnam Plus, fandom-based video platform SEESO, China's first IT portal YESKY, and influencer marketing platform ASIX.
